DRAFT — have a lawyer review before use

1. Summary

Law2Judge sells digital study content. Once access to a subject or bundle is granted, the purchase is not refundable.

There are only two exceptions: a failed payment where money was debited but access was not granted, and a duplicate payment for the same purchase. Details are below.

2. Why no refunds

When you buy a subject or bundle, you get immediate digital access to notes, videos, practice sets and other content. Content cannot be "returned" once viewed, so we do not offer refunds for change of mind, lack of use, dissatisfaction with content, or exam results.

Please check the subject details and price in the app carefully before you pay. [Lawyer note: check that a strict no-refund position is acceptable under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the e-commerce rules for your product description.]

3. When you can get a refund

Failed payment

Money was debited from your account, but the purchase was not completed and access was not granted to your account.

Before you claim, wait a short time and refresh the app. Some payments are confirmed a little late, and access appears once confirmed. If access is granted, the payment is not a failed payment.

Duplicate payment

You paid more than once for the same purchase (for example, the same subject or bundle charged twice for the same order). We will refund the extra payment or payments. The first valid purchase stays active.

4. What is not refundable

  • a purchase where access was granted
  • buying the wrong subject or bundle by mistake
  • change of mind or no longer needing the content
  • not using the app or content during the access period
  • account suspension or termination because of a breach of our Terms of Use
  • dissatisfaction with exam results
  • issues caused by your device, internet or OS version that we can reasonably solve without a refund
  • renewals or extensions where access was granted

5. How to ask for a refund

Email [Support email] within 7 days of the payment. Requests made later may not be considered.

Please include:

  • your registered mobile number
  • the order ID shown in the app or on your invoice
  • the payment date, amount and payment reference number
  • a screenshot of the debit message or bank statement entry, if available
  • which of the two situations above applies

6. How we review

We will check the order and payment records with Razorpay. We may ask for more information. We will tell you the result by email or in the app [within 7 business days — owner to confirm].

If your request is not approved, we will explain why. You can reply to us to ask for a second review, or contact our Grievance Officer as set out in the Terms of Use.

7. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay. We cannot refund to a different account, card or UPI ID.

It typically takes 5 to 7 business days after approval for the money to show up. Banks and payment providers may take longer, and we cannot control their timelines.

Refunds are for the amount actually paid. Any bank or gateway charges not returned by Razorpay are outside our control. [Owner to confirm whether the full amount is refunded.]

8. What happens to your access

A refund cancels the access that the refunded purchase gave you.

  • If the refunded purchase was a new subject or bundle, that access ends.
  • If the refunded purchase was an extension or renewal, your access goes back to the expiry date you had before that purchase.

Any study data such as bookmarks and progress stays in your account, but you will not be able to open content you no longer have access to.

9. Abuse

If we find refund requests that appear to be false or repeated misuse, we may refuse them, and may suspend the account under our Terms of Use.

10. Records

Order, payment, refund and invoice records are kept as required by tax law, even after account deletion. See our Privacy Policy.
