DRAFT — have a lawyer review before use

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Law2Judge mobile app (Android and iOS) and its content. The app is operated by [Legal entity name], of [Registered address] ("Law2Judge", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Who can use Law2Judge

You must be at least 18 years old. We ask for your date of birth at registration and block users under 18.

You must give correct information when you register. Keep your account details up to date.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Indian mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). Your account holds your name, mobile number, optional email, date of birth, track (Student or Judiciary aspirant), education level, location and preferred language.

You are responsible for keeping your phone and OTPs safe. Tell us at once at [Support email] if you think someone else is using your account.

One active device per account. If you sign in on a new device, the previous device is signed out automatically.

4. What we offer

Law2Judge is an exam-preparation app for law students (LLB / BA LLB) and judiciary aspirants. Content may include subject-wise notes (PDF and text), video lessons, short and essay questions, MCQ practice sets, landmark cases, bare acts, previous papers and important questions.

We may add, change or remove content and features from time to time. Some content may be available in English, Telugu or Hindi, but not every item is available in every language.

5. Study material only

All content is general study material. It is not legal advice, and you should not rely on it to handle a real legal matter.

We work to keep content accurate and current, but law changes and errors can occur. Always check bare acts and official sources before an exam.

We do not guarantee any exam result, rank or selection.

6. Purchases and access

You can buy access per subject or per bundle of subjects. The price is shown in the app before you pay (for example, a default of Rs. 100 per subject for 8 months of access). Prices may change, but a change does not affect access you have already bought.

Access is time-limited. The end date is shown in the app. Plans can be extended or renewed.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Law2Judge never sees or stores your card or UPI details. Razorpay's own terms apply to the payment itself.

We generate an invoice for your purchase. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short, purchases are not refundable except for failed or duplicate payments.

7. Licence and acceptable use

When you buy access, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view the content in the app for your own study during the access period.

You must not:

  • share your account or content with others
  • download, copy or record content (including screen-recording or screenshots) for redistribution
  • resell, rent, publish or commercially use any content
  • try to bypass the one-device limit, payment or access controls
  • reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the app or our servers
  • upload or post anything unlawful, or misuse the app in any way that harms us or other users

8. Intellectual property

All content in the app, including notes, videos, questions, design and logos, belongs to Law2Judge or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Bare acts and judgments are public documents, but our selection, arrangement, summaries and notes are ours.

Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

9. Notifications

We may send push notifications for plan expiry reminders and announcements. You can turn these off in your phone settings.

10. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the app and request deletion of your account in the app at any time. Deleting your account does not by itself entitle you to a refund of unused access.

We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if you break these terms, share your account, misuse content, or use the app unlawfully. In that case, remaining access time is not refunded.

We may also stop running the app or part of it. If we permanently end paid content you have already bought, we will tell you and [refund or extend the affected access on a fair basis — owner to confirm].

Sections that by their nature should continue (such as intellectual property, liability and governing law) survive termination.

12. Disclaimers

The app and content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that content will be complete or suit your particular exam.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Law2Judge is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, profit or exam outcome, arising from your use of the app.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the purchase the claim relates to, in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

[Lawyer note: check that this cap and the "as is" disclaimer are enforceable under Indian consumer protection law before use.]

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make important changes, we will tell you in the app or by notification. Continuing to use the app after the change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and you may request account deletion.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [City] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

Please contact us first at [Support email] so we can try to resolve any complaint informally.

16. Contact and grievances

Grievance Officer: [Grievance Officer name], [Legal entity name], [Registered address]. Email: [Support email].

17. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a business transfer.
